I’ve recently completed a 9 day PG2 license course with Bright Flight. We had Wally, Ryland and James as instructors and they were all incredibly cool, calm and collected operators. It’s an extremely exciting sport but obviously running off the edge of a hill is also quite nerve-racking but they were always very clear over the radio to make sure we knew what we were doing and had the confidence to launch, complete some manoeuvres in the air and safely land. Clara was also very helpful with selecting gear and placing orders so we could get set up with decent harnesses and wings post course! As part of the course we also did a tandem flight with the instructors, so whether it’s a tandem flight or a 9 day course I’d highly recommend using Bright Flight’s services!

I did the 9 day course with my best friend and it exceeded our expectations by a mile. I don’t think it’s possible to have any more fun while also learning more.

Wally, Clara, James and Ryland were amazing teachers, made us feel very safe and are also lovely people to spend so much time with. I’m very grateful. We are going flying this afternoon. I can’t wait. It’s going to be so fun!!!!

The BrightFlight people are fantastic people, who are experts in all things paragliding. The instructors are some of the most capable paragliding pilots on the competition circuit and they go above & beyond to help anybody with anything paragliding, be it tandems, clinics/courses, weather advice… launch assistance, site briefings, equipment matters… a true [one-stop shop] for paragliding.
They have a [no-compromise] approach to ensuring safety at every level, go out of their way to help low airtime pilots improve, provide some of the best instruction that I have ever had in the air, and are happy to organise a tandem for any willing passenger.
I wish that there were more people like the BrightFlight team in the community.

Just finished my PG2 Course. Instructors were fantastic, calm and supportive. Wally is super humble, and yet one of the best pilots in the country, clearly a career educator (he used to be a school teacher), and the more you speak with him the more you realise he's absolutely single minded about seeing the sport and it's pilots progress safely, all over the world.

Would absolutely recommend getting in touch whether you want to do your first tandem and want to know that you're going with someone who's deeply passionate about the sport, loves flying themselves and is going to give you a great, safe experience, or if you're jumping in the deep end like me and doing your pilot's licence. I had some fears going into it, and talked to Wally before the course, and it was absolutely fine.

We had an incredibly high ratio of instructors to pilots so that even when I was 'left to fly myself' towards the end of the course, I knew there was someone specifically eyes on me for take off, during flight, and in landing, which went miles to boost my confidence.

Can't wait for a summer of flying, and the freedom to explore the air almost anywhere in the world, with gear that fits in a backpack!

I did the PG2 course in Autumn. Bright is a stunning place to undertake this course with several launch sites. The instructors (Wally, Phil and Richie and occasionally Brian) were absolutely fabulous. They are patient, calm, reassuring, incredibly competent and knowledgable and a whole lot of fun. There is a strong sense of community within the sport that is clearly seen in Bright. I highly recommend for anyone looking to learn to fly.
