If I can give anyone one piece of wedding advice.. it would be to book Teigan & the Whimsical Fox team to do your florals & styling. They are actual magicians and absolutely nail everything they do. They took the vision I had in my head, made it a thousand times better and executed it perfectly!
On top of that, Teigan is one of the most chilled out and coolest chicks I’ve ever crossed paths with and that is exactly the type of person you want to be dealing with in the lead up to your wedding!

Planning a wedding throughout Covid was always going to be stressful but with Teigan and the team from Whimsical Fox our wedding was better than we could have ever imagined. Teigan was so helpful and met the brief perfectly in creating our special day. Teigan took care of the wedding bouquets and florals and did an incredible job. Where do you even start with Teigan.
You must book with her. You simply must. Even if you don't need florals, decor or any other beautifulness at your wedding.
You must book just to have her in your life in the lead up and on your big day. There is honestly not enough words to describe how helpful Teigan was for us, how beautifully she captured what my vibe was (even when I didn't know our vibe myself), how she just made it feel like no matter what- the day was going to be perfect and beautiful and how much stress she took off my shoulders and placed onto her own laid back, chilled, genius ones.

My partner and I had booked in 4 meetings with wedding designers/floral designers. Teigan was our third meeting- I had left the first two with a heightened level of wedding anxiety. When we left Teigan's studio she had said to look over the quote she was about to draw up. I said to my partner "I haven't seen her work, been given pricing yet but I want to book her right now". He was on the same page and said "I'll go back in and tell her to lock us in right now". There is no one in this world who is cooler than her and we wanted her in our gang. I rang Teigan a couple of weeks out to nut out some of the final details and we just chatted for an hour (probably only 10 minutes was my wedding related). Even when she was flat chat and so busy with weddings galore she made it feel like she had all the time in the world for me and nothing, big or small, was a bother. I told her I was stressed about other aspects of the wedding and despite not being relevant to her job she gave me some solid advice and helped make decisions that made the day absolutely perfect.

Obviously it's all good and well to be the coolest human on this planet, but is she good at what she does?
Better than good, better than great, better than the very best of the best. There wasn't one single person who didn't tell me or my partner that it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. Everyone commented on how amazing the florals were and how they have never seen such beautiful styling. I had given Teigan multiple pintrest boards and changed my mind 10 times and at each step Teigan was always there with cool ideas and quirky little things to add that made everything tie in perfectly. Nothing was too hard and anything that I wanted that was out of the budget Teigan worked a way around it by suggesting something just as beautiful that I could afford. I wasn't worried about design or florals of the wedding at any point of the wedding, I just knew it would be perfect. Honestly how many brides can say that?

Whimsical Fox are second to none. We had Teigan style our wedding and baby shower in recent years and she was absolutely amazing. Her pieces are stunning and her eye for styling is perfect. Plus so easy and lovely to work with. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

Our honest review with Whimsical Fox Events.

Unfortunately what started as a great experience turned into a very negative and poor experience with Whimsical Fox Events.
From the start Teigan was great with getting back to all our questions and really understood what we wanted for our wedding, her lookbook was lovely.

Everything changed when we realised we could no longer go ahead with our original wedding date of the 1st of October as NSW was in a state wide lockdown and therefore we would have been breaking Public Health Orders to go ahead with that date.
In order to change the date it would have cost us a 25% fee on top of what we had already paid (not one of our single other vendors asked for a fee when changing the date). We were very limited with new dates as per our venue, so we had to go with the majority of our vendors and picked the 2nd of December. Teigan said that they were not available on that week as they would be absolutely flat out.

As they could not do our new date she informed us that we would be cancelling the contract and therefore she would be keeping 100% of our money. We enquired with our lawyer who confirmed that no we are not cancelling as we are following NSW Public Health Orders and that the contract is now void as Whimiscal Fox cannot fulfil the contract.
The contract states that it is a 40% non-refundable deposit so we requested for our 60% to be returned as the contract is now void as per our lawyer. We believe that keeping 40% of the total price is more than reasonable to cover the ongoing expenses for her business. Teigan replied with a straight no as she was a struggling business and needs the money to cover her ongoing business costs.

This is bewildering to us as we cannot fathom how a business would require 100% of the money to cover costs when they are no longer providing a service or a product. After pushing further they offered us a $714.47 refund as that was the wholesale cost of the flowers which was returned to them. As we had paid $3347 in full a $714 refund means very little and certainly won’t help much in covering the cost of a new florist/stylist.

As a result of Teigan refusing to return our 60% refund we requested for all our flowers to be delivered to us on our original date as we refuse to pay in full for a product /service that is not being provided.
The flowers that were delivered were lovely and they met my brief, there is no denying that fact.
However, it’s still very infuriating that it came to that. It was a complete waste of time and money for everyone.

If you are looking at using Whimsical Fox Events for your wedding please be careful and only go forward with them if you know that your wedding or event will 100% be going ahead otherwise you may be caught out like us. We have already advised all our friends and family who are yet to get married to look elsewhere there are many other, extremely reasonable and considerate businesses out there.

We highly recommend Teigan. She was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding day. Covid meant that the inital plan for our wedding continued to change and evolve as restrictions lifted but nothing was an issue for Teigan. The decorating of the venue was beautiful and we had all our guests comment. My Wife's bouquet was perfection - it reflected her perfectly. Thank you Teigan for everything you did for our day. We cannot thank you enough!

Whimsical Fox have such unique pieces that add that extra special touch to any event! We had a few of the pieces including 2 lounge sets at our outdoor wedding, it just bought together the whole concept perfectly. Teigan was super easy to communicate and deal with, even after I added in other items at different points in time leading up to the day. I would highly recommend!
