We treated ourselves to The Truffle Lovers weekend package at The Truffledore in mid July and after having read all the fabulous reviews our expectations were high. We were not disappointed and enjoyed the experience even more than expected. Our hosts, Ina and Tim, are professional and informative while being very warm and friendly. We learnt lots and loved digging for truffles in the Truffière before we sat down to a delicious lunch with some lovely local wine. A fantastic way to spend a weekend.

Lovely hosts, informative and will answer all questions. A small but a nice setup for our experience, as it's not crowded nor hustling and bustling like some other big commercials. Met Mr. Darcy on-site, 1 of 3 truffle dogs, such a calm and charming character, quietly welcoming all visitors. Love the garden bed, seems the right size to grow all essentials for cooking needs, a perfect example of farm to table. Would love to stay overnight when visiting Cradle Mt. the next time.

The pinnacle of dining experiences, The Truffledore offers an unforgettable journey into gastronomic excellence.

The truffle hunt was a delightful and informative immersion into the world of gourmet treasures. The culinary pleasures that followed were nothing short of extraordinary. Even without the generous additions of fresh truffle, every dish was expertly crafted, flavorful, and innovative. Each ingredient in every bite showcased a commitment to the highest standards of quality and exemplified authenticity.

The two amazing hosts set the stage for this remarkable experience. Their passion and dedication is compelling and inspiring. They warmly welcomed us and creatively engaged with us, enriching every moment with their genuine hospitality. They embody and uphold the farm-to-table philosophy that is increasingly valued today. I intend to return.

No review of The Truffledore is complete without mentioning the dogs, who were loved by everyone and loved everyone!

The Truffledore is a must visit location in Tasmania. The hosts, Timmy and Ina are fantastic and super friendly - and we can't forget Cody, the friendliest dog around.

They have great knowledge of the onsite orchid, livestock and truffle farm.

I highly encourage you to book a few nights here to kick back and relax. If you don't have time to stay a few days, then the Truffle tour is fantastic, but you have to stay for a meal. This is not to be missed!!! But make sure you book ahead as it gets very busy, particularly during truffle season.

We can't recommend Truffledore enough!!

The accommodation is really clean and comfortable. Timo was lovely enough to not only provide us with snacks and tea in the afternoons but also upon hearing that we were preparing our own dinners (it was New Year’s Eve + Ina was unwell so we didn’t want to impose) , also gave us some vegetables, herbs and flowers from their edible garden to complement our meal preparations with a taste of Tassie goodness. We absolutely loved the Scottish oats abd truffle infused breakfast, complete with homemade juices, jams and bread by Ina! We had a ball of a time playing with Cody, Kiki and Mr Darcy and would love to be back again. Definitely the highlight of our Tassie holiday!

Seriously the best pizza I have ever had (and I've been to Italy twice!) All the fruit and veggies (and truffles) are grown on site and you can taste the freshness. The restaurant is so cosy and inviting and the owners are so lovely! We can't wait to come back and stay with them and go truffle hunting with their adorable dogs in the winter. 🙂

Enlightening! A very enjoyable guide to understanding truffles, and how to use fresh truffles in your cooking. Highly recommended, especially during truffle season. A great team that were friendly, passionate and engaging.
