15 years ago or so a travel agent advised me to travel while I could… What great advice… despite living and working in many different places… I upped the ante then and went round the world on a curated self-guided tour… a brilliant investment in life… a small 5MP camera recorded the trip…
My phone now does more! Anyhow now I’ve discovered World Photo Adventures and whilst retired from a former life, I now do seasonal work to sponsor my new addiction to travel with WPA, WHY?
Well organised trips to fantastic places and activities that I could never research… small group (6-10) guided tours with as much or as LITTLE photo input as we feel like…. I always keep an ear on the guide’s background comments to see what they’re seeing or predicting, what to do... is it worth it?
YES! I like birds in flight and don’t enjoy processing however WPA support me with birds… then extend me to flowers, butterflies, frogs, landscapes, reflections, street culture, processing, book making and printing… plus. Oh yes camera use… if I feel like it… plus…

I have just recently returned from a photographic tour in Brazil with World Photo Adventures. I cannot give enough praise to the trip from locations, subjects, local guides, accommodation along with spot on day to day planning

I have enjoyed many brilliant trips and workshops with World Photo Adventures over the past few years. I've been to some wonderful places that I might never have found on my own, and with the guidance of Darran, my photography has improved immensely. With his incredible depth of experience, Darran thoroughly researches all the destinations to find the perfect locations to photograph and is always on hand to provide information and advice. I appreciate that Darran covers all genres of photography and no matter what your interest, whether it be landscape, culture, animals, birds or macro, you'll get something from a trip with WPA. I've toured with Darran internationally as well as within Australia and all the trips have been fantastic. Julia is exceptional at organising the trip and Darran, Frazer, and Pearce are always super helpful with photographic advice. I highly recommend World Photo Adventures and I'm looking forward to the next time I travel with them.

My wife and I have done a number of trips with this family based company. Julia always finds great accommodation. Darren, Pearce and Frazer all have excellent skills which they share with willingness and enthusiasm. If you have a location that you would like to explore with your camera make sure you contact them. You just never know what might be possible.

Having done nearly 30 tours with World Photo Adventures since 2005 from Iceland, the Arctic,the Antarctic, numerous tours in Africa,South America,Australia and Alaska I can highly recommend WPA.If you want to be in the right place at the right time to see spectacular landscapes and wildlife I haven’t found a better group to travel with.
Great food,great accommodation and great fellow photographers of all levels are all well catered for.
The number of repeat customers speaks for itself. Highly recommend going on a tour and seeing for yourself.

I have worked with Darran and the WPA team for a number of years. Their "keep it simple" techniques have helped me to focus on the creative side of photography and I have been able to produce some amazing images with the help of their expertise. I highly recommend photographers of any level to join them on one of their tours or workshops. Some of my best life experiences have been shared with them!

I have travelled with WPA many times and the reason is that I am totally happy with their trips. They are very professional in all aspects from the travelling and accommodation to the serious side of photography. The most important part of travelling with them is the fun we all have - always lots of laughs and enjoyment while you enjoy some amazing countries and experience new cultures and awesome wildlife. I sincerely recommend them and will be travelling with them again soon!

We found WPA’s workshops to be extremely helpful and educational, with Darren and Frazer both being fonts of information. A blend of theory and practical exercises kept up our interest, as did the scenic choice of venue at Lamington NP, providing plenty of photo opportunities.

The group workshop was small and personal, allowing one on one assistance with both our photography taking and photo editing.

We’ll definitely do more of these again when we can
