Such an incredible space. Run by volunteers, curated thoughtfully, gift shop was probably the best I've seen of any heritage attraction.
Ian and Vitalina were so helpful and knowledgeable, willing to make your visit extra special. The AR with the platypus was such a fantastic installation but as a truck driver I thought the truck cab in the back was a stroke of genius, giving people an insight into what we can see (but mostly can't see) would love to see more of these around the state.
My friend and I bought two pieces from the community art exhibition, one of which brought me to tears (in a good way I think!) We will definitely return and recommend friends and family do the same!

Geeveston information centre has to be one of the best I have been into has a hole lot more going on then you would think offering a huge amount of information, gifts, guide books has a museum up stairs and a live wood turning workshop running Wednesday through to Sunday from around 12 am but subject to change so suggest to ring ahead to confirm.
There is a bit of interactive stuff for adults and kids and bit on the local history.
The friendly lady that works there is willing to help in anyway she can with bookings and info regarding the surrounding area .
If you are looking for gifts this would certainly be a good place to start looking especially for locally made goods .

I had a wonderful experience at Geeveston Visitor Centre! They generously offered their cozy lobby with a fireplace for people to enjoy their meals from the famous Masaaki's Sushi. It was such a thoughtful gesture.

Moreover, they provided plenty of free brochures and shared valuable local knowledge with visitors. Their dedication to enhancing the experience and supporting local businesses is truly commendable.

Friendly staff, great information and souvenirs. Can get your airwalker tickets and national Park passes from here. This building and the butcher across the road (along with various other parts of the town) may look familiar as it is part of the "Rosehaven" town from the ABC iView series "Rosehaven".

Maybe an edit here. The Town Hall has the most wonderful information centre with a gallery. There is also a platypus and Huon pine display. Some woodwork items as well. It was truly a great stop. Add it to the list of places to drop in on.
