Wow! A total surprise that we did on spec. An excellent exhibition covering many areas. It truly would take two days to totally investigate, and the food / coffee is also excellent.

Heaps of information can be obtained here - not just about Port Augusta but also surrounding areas. The lady at the counter was friendly and keen to assist.
The only disappointing thing I found was that the cafe staff wasn't pleasant or helpful. However, I do believe they are a separate entity to the visitors information centre.

Overall, fun experience for our whole group. Wish the interactive exhibits weren’t in disrepair due to high concentration of public use.

It was a great day with the kids.

Honestly I thought it was a bit expensive but once we went through and seen everything it had to offer it was 100% worth it!

Definitely will take the kids again they all got something out of it, 12 year old, 3 year old and 8 month old.

Plan on going back with out the kids as well so we can take everything in with out the distraction kids bring. ?

You get your money's worth for sure, learn somethings and the kids were amazed by lots of the interactive features and big displays.

Incase it's not clear I would definitely recommend this to anyone with kids, people that have an interest in Pt. August and surrounding towns, Older times or want to kill some time

Thoroughly enjoyed this place. We arrived at just after 12 and didn’t leave until after 3. So much to see.
Excellent caravan parking for us. We have a long caravan and a troopy so we don’t often fit in regular caravan spaces.
We ate at the cafe. Can highly recommend the Kangaroo pie with quondong chilli jam and the iced coffees.
Service was friendly and timely.
We went through the Tunnel of Time exhibit and I found it really interesting to see Dreamtime stories alongside the Science.
The train information was confusing in its layout so difficult to follow the “time line”. The display of the four European explorers (Eyre, Sturt, Stuart, and Giles) was exceptionally well done.
All in all a fantastic job.
