Lovely dining experience. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Our only criticism would be that entree sizes could have been slightly larger. But other than that a really great experience.

What a wonderful restaurant in rural South Australia should you bee down this way. We will definitely return when in Penola
Food was excellent and we were both very impressed with the presentation and quality.
Entree were the seared herb pork fillet and Braised beef Agnolotti both were full of flavour, especially so the agnolotti.
Mains were the rack of lamb and eye fillet, both cooked medium rare and very tender.
We had two of the sides the Kipfler potatoes and the roasted Cauliflower.
Just enough room for desert and we both went for the Rhubarb tart,
Wine list was good with a nice selection of local wines by the bottle and by the glass.

Such a great dinner at Pipers. After a couple of awesome days in the Coonawarra, this was definitely the highlight. Thanks to all that gave us the recommendation. The food was spectacular (must try the scallops!) and the service was first class.

We had a special occasion and chose to celebrate at Piper’s of Penola. The staff were amazing and so welcoming. The food was sublime. We can highly recommend everything about Piper’s of Penola.

This restaurant had it “all”. Great food, excellent wine list and attentive service without being “in your face”.

Highly recommended. Just make sure you book and plan. We were in the low season so it wasn’t too hard, but I can imagine in busier times it would be next to impossible to get a table

We booked a brunch at Pipers of Penola during our Cabernet Celebrations visit. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The danish and croissant that we got for take away was superb as well. It’s a good thing they allowed us to order in advance and set it aside coz they were sold out instantly. Will be coming back when we are in the area.
