Stayed in a dog friendly hotel room, the room exceeded expectations! It’s very modern with a beautiful bathroom. The bed head matched the dog bed which I appreciated. There was a little doggie area outside we got access to for dogs to run around in. All staff I spoke to were great. And dinner room service was amazing. Thanks for such a great stay.

This accommodation was beautiful!! It was spotlessly clean and very modern and affordable. The rooms are generous in size and every part was clean and dust free from the headboard, shower grout, shower shelf and cupboards! They have everything in offer that a 5 star hotel would have. Aesop brand bathroom creams and hand wash on offer make this feel extra special. Well done to the hotel stall for a standard above the rest ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Did not stay at the hotel so only rating food with an evening meal. Unfortunately it was a poor experience. We waited an hour for meal. I ordered the lamb eye fillet which was supposed to be cooked medium rare. It was dry, tough and no pink at all. My partner ordered the pork belly, the rind was far from crispy. Bad day in the kitchen. Would not recommend

We recently stayed at Mt Gambier Hotel and had a great experience. The rooms were new and comfortable, although music from the bistro could be heard through the walls at times. But that is likely because of where our room was located. Other rooms would not have this problem. Plus it was not loud enough to be a bother to me personally. The food and service, however, were exceptional - both deserving of 5 stars. Overall, a wonderful stay with just a minor inconvenience and amazing staff.

I have not been to Mt Gambier for years and decided on a school holiday drive to Melbourne with the kids, deciding to stop at Mt Gambier to visit the sinkhole and blue lake on our way. The Hotel was a last minute decision and all round amazing. The staff went out of their way to give me a double room where the kids had one space with TV and beds and then a room for us with an adjoining door, the rooms were divine, so well styled, comfortable and lux. Eating downstairs the food, service and experience was again amazing. I had the chicken taco salad and I'm still thinking about how yum it was. I was even able to pop the kids upstairs with a movie and was for the first time in ages able to sit in a hotel with my husband and have a cocktail because the setting was so safe and close. I was thinking this would just be a simple stop on the way to Melbourne but it will absolutely be a return trip for us after the experience. Thank you to the team at the hotel for their service. Also free parking and wifi.

Just paid the best part of $40 for a steak, that’s came with some dodgy chips, a salad And a Dianne sauce that tasted suspiciously like a BBQ sauce…normally I’d push through, but the steak was cold, full of fat and flavourless…waste of money!

Only experienced the Bistro. Was impressed with the cleanliness and tidiness of the restaurant and facilities. Meals were delicious and definitely well sized, you get a good feed for the price. Very positive experience and will be back again.

Happy hour 4 to 6 pm good comfortable place to catch up and chat. Nice meals and good service
