Camped here in the caravan and just fantastic. Short walk to the local pub with great food and level grass sites at $28 per night with water and power. Close to city Centre and all tourist spots.

The Showgrounds were fantastic for our overnight stay. Could easily have stayed longer. The hosts were great and had a fire pit for people to come and chat. The toilets and showers very clean. The Camp kitchen was very cosy and welcoming.

We stayed at the showgrounds for 2 weeks and used it as a base camp for surrounding areas. Dane (caretaker) was very accomodating. Amenities where always clean. Dane started the fire every night for happy hour and quite a few enjoyed this.
The showgrounds is close to town, and the surrounding sink holes in the areea.
We took a day trip to Portland, Vic as it is only 100km from the showgrounds. Also Port Macdonnell is approximately 20 mins south and also a good day trip.
There is powered and unpowered sites. Water is available on all sites including unpowered. The showgrounds only has bore water, but we found it to be good.
Pros: Close to town, amenities clean, great caretaker, great central base for surrounding areas, dog friendly.
Cons: didn't enccounter any.

Showers were hot and good pressure until someone else uses water or turns it off. Burnt my back twice.
Maximum speed limit (5km) does not apply to manager Dane who tears around on his electric bike doing god knows what speed.
Washing of any vehicles is NOT PERMITTED, unless you are Dane the park manager who we saw washing his car twice in 4 days we were there.
No open fires....umm ok.
Pets must be on a leash at all times....ahhh huh.
I guess it all depends on who you are.
Dane has a bit of an attitude problem, no people skills at all, on a power trip, just not friendly at all.
We would never go back there and would definitely not recommend this place to anyone while he is there.
Be smart and pay a couple dollars more and go to a real caravan park.
Price has jumped from $10 p/n way up to $30 p/n in a couple years. Not worth it at all.

Nothing to complain about camping the night. Showers were pretty good and clean. BUT the man who runs the place was extremely aggressive twice. Got all worked up about something he was already asked and was organised and then came yelling at us at 9:50pm to stop Idleing our van people are trying to sleep. We had turned it on at 930pm due to 4 degrees weather to warm it up before sleeping and we also had a cold baby with us. It wasn't even 10pm yet. Made us feel very uncomfortable sorry wouldn't return.

Great spot, close to town and attractions.
Friendly caretaker, clean amenities.
Hot water went cold, probably due to the number of campers (over 50 vans and room for more). $20/night unpowered.
Well appointed games/family room.
All in all a good place to park the van and explore the area.
