Very steep walking up to the tower, the tower is small and nothing particular except for memories. However the best part is the climb. Absolutely enjoyed walking uphill and wide open view of landscape getting larger.

Drive to lions lookout and walk to the tower from there. The 15 min walk is only difficult because it’s very steep. Not slippery though.

My partner is afraid of heights and he was still able to reach the summit and enjoy the view. And it’s a spectacular view. I’m surprised the tower wasn’t accessible on a Sunday at midday. If not then…when would be the best time? Anyway, the view was worth it without the tower.

Fantastic viewing location over the lakes, town & surrounding region.
Tower is only open on Friday, but still worth a visit.
The hike up is short, but challenging, very steep.
Opportunities to rest along the way.
Worth a visit.

It's definitely worth the walk-up. The views are spectacular. You can drive and park halfway up. Apparently, if the flag is flying, you can go up however it was not open during our stay. All good. There are seats along the way to stop and have a rest.

Decent hike to get here from the town centre, or you can drive up most of the way. Very steep incline on the last leg up, so prepare yourself for that.
Not much shade, so when it's hot it can be a gruelling climb.
The tower is only open when the flag is flying, it was closed when I went, but it's still pretty great views from the ground.

It is a short (but somewhat steep) walk up to reach centenary tower from the lions lookout car park. Lovely views of the city from the top!
