We did the winter whale watching tour. It was my dream to see the Waitpinga cliffs from the water. They are stunning. We had international visitors staying with us and they wanted to see dolphins, they'd never seen them! The dolphins put on the best show! Friendly and curious, we all got to enjoy spending time appreciating them. The skipper gave us plenty of time to take it all in. We didn't get to see any whales, our guests were not bothered by this, because everything else was fabulous. They were thrilled to see seals and dolphins. The boat is comfortable, clean and not too big. Everyone gets a good view. Long wind/spray jackets are provided. Good commentary, very interesting. The company was easy to communicate via phone. Spectacular views. I'm glad I'm an SA local because I want to go back and see more.

The tour was awesome!
No whales, but we were lucky enough to see seals, sea lions, penguins, a small & 40+ sized pod of dolphins.
Even without that, the views were stunning, and the staff were friendly & knowledgeable.
Cracked up a few times out of shock of the choppy weather/being sprayed in the face with water - wouldn't change a thing!

Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time with the friendly, and informative staff of the Big Duck Boat Tours. We saw dolphins, seals and even managed to catch a few glimpses of some whales, all while taking in some beautiful scenery along the way.

This was a great tour. The captain was very informative and knowledgeable about the local history. Calm and efficient. Made you feel relaxed. Had a few chuckles with him.
The wet weather protective gear that they supplied us all with kept us extremely dry in wet and windy conditions.
The gentleman and his crew were very accommodating to those who were not as mobile as others. It was a great tour. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thankyou for a great time.

This is our second Big Duck tour, we loved the Wirrina one so much that we came back to do the Southern Ocean tour at Victor Harbor. We saw lots of dolphins, seals and wildlife. Informative crew and a beautiful afternoon out in nature

Excellent experience. We chose the 45-minute seal Island tour at 10am. There is free parking at Victor Harbour and around 300m walk to the boat. Both the captain and guide are exceptional. We watch seals and dolphins. They provide a rain coat to wear, so no need to worry about the water spray on the tour ?. Highly recommended. It was a family trip, and everyone enjoyed it.

What an experience!!! I had my kods with me, 12, 7 and 3 year old. They all really loved it. Although everyday will be different, we had the pleasure of seeing seals, sea egles and a pod of dolphins. The host knowledge of the wildlife was amazing and taught us a lot about the wildlife we saw. Would highly recommend for families, just anyone in general.
