I recently took my mum on the Uncork the Barossa experience with Small Batch Wines. Our host, Matt, made the day very seamless and had lots of knowledge to share about the region. He thoughtfully decided on which four wineries to visit, based on where we were travelling from and our preferred tastes. Although I’m a former Barossa local, we visited a couple of incredible wineries I had not been to before which made the day very special. Lunch was unforgettable!

Tom was our amazing guide for the day and we had the absolute best time visiting 4 different wineries in the Barossa. (Whistler, David Franz, Rockford & Ballycroft). Lunch at Jacob’s Creek was also amazing! Small Batch nailed our brief and gave us an outstanding experience. Thanks so much team!

We took a tour with Tom to McLaren Vale on Gather Round weekend and we LOVED it. This tour is great because you get to go to the smaller, family-run wine tours in a much smaller group of people. We got to know everyone in our group and had a fantastic time with each other. We got to visit 4 different wineries, as well as a stopover at the d-Arenberg Cube and a pub for lunch. Tom was so easy to get along with and knew a lot about the area. Would 100% recommend this tour!

We had a great time on our McLaren Vale tour! Excellent mix of wineries which were all different from each other. We had a fantastic lunch included. Matt our guide had great knowledge of the area and wine, which added to the experience. Would highly recommend

A bespoke wine tour that caters to your preferences with a local expert guiding the way! Superb from start to finish with excellent full lunch at fabulous venues. We did both the McLaren Vale & Barossa shared tours & loved every minute. We tasted spectacular wines that we may never have known existed in gorgeous locations and felt thoroughly spoiled - pick up & drop off & water provided! Excellent value. Thank you so much Matt!!!! Paul picked us up from our city hotel, he was on time, very knowledgeable about Adelaide and the wine regions and easy to listen to. The Mercedes people mover fit all 7 of us very comfortably.
We had 4 women on the tour with us and we all had a ball. Lots of wine and laughter.
The boutique wineries we visited had beautiful wines and we even had a tour of the production plant at Murray Street wines. We had a delicious lunch at Harvest Kitchen, so much food we couldn’t finish it all. The ended the day with a paddle of Gin tasting. That was awesome.
We would highly recommend this company. Our money was well spent. We got to see the Barossa Valley, had great informative commentary and delicious wine and food.

This was a wonderful day out and worth every penny. We visited 4 wineries, tasted 24 wines and ate a feast for lunch at Jacob’s Creek accompanied by 2 more wines. Matthew was knowledgeable, good humoured and patient. We learned an enormous amount about wine and wine making in Barossa while sampling some absolute monsters! A 16% Zinfandel that beats anything I’ve had from California or Puglia for example.

Had the best time with Matt and the small batch wine tour. Being from the US we didn’t know where to start and left ourselves in great hands. We hit four great spots and had a delicious lunch. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone, especially experienced folks who are happy to skip the “how wine is made” story.
