I had not been to the Bayview Towers for a number of years. I read the recent reviews, and as they were positive, my wife and I decided to stay for 3 nights. We were pleasantly surprised. The building has had a complete refurb, and the room we stayed in had excellent facilities, was modern, and had great views. We found the staff to be super friendly and efficient, and they made the stay even better.||The manager Simon and his wife Anne were an asset to the Bayview. They were professional and you could see that the staff enjoyed working there. There enthusiasm is infectious. They have introduced a buffet breakfast on week days, which is included in the room costs. It is ample and fresh everyday. We loved the Bayview and would recommend a stay here. We will be back for another stay in the future.|| Also, the location of the hotel is excellent, and only a short walk to shops, restaurants, hotels and clubs.

Was upgraded to a room on a higher floor and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The room itself was cozy and the bed was well made, clean, tidy and had a great view! Only fault would be the room could have been maintained a little better by whoever owns it,but for the price it wasn't all that bad. Highly recommend for an affordable, family friendly stay with gorgeous views. Bayview is also placed so conveniently that we could walk everywhere we wanted to and it wasn't too far.

Stayed for 1 night, late check was seamless and easy. Room was clean and comfortable. The view spectacular. Location is great right on the water front with restaurants and shops all a stone throw away. I would stay again without hesitation. Thank you for the comfortable nights stay

We have recently stayed at the Bayview and were pleasantly surprised with the recent upgrades to the hotel and individual rooms. They now include a buffet breakfast on weekdays mornings, and the selection is excellent. All staff are professional and courteous. Especially Simon, who looks after the hotel, and his wife Anne who looks after the breakfast. My wife and I will definitely be back to enjoy the ambience and professional service.

Like other reviews before me, the staff were very friendly and hospitable and the views spectacular.

However the good news ends there.

It's such a shame the room was such a disappointment. Pictures attached. The iron was rusted and had to be replaced, the curtains were stained and mouldy, the bathroom was also mouldy and there were signs of water leaks and the door was badly damaged (pic attached), the kitchen doors were almost falling off, for some reason the box wall air con was on the ground and rusted - thank goodness we didn't have to use it! And the room was not clean and the carpet was so old it may as well have been lino. The fridge was also rusted and leaking water.

Our family booked several rooms and they were all different and some were nice and fresh and others, like mine, were terrible. We rang originally to try to book direct however were informed they couldn't match booking.coms rates and to book with them for those prices. Doesn't make sense.

Overall a bad experience leaving a bad taste in our mouths and we won't book here again and would not recommend them.

Stayed here for 5 days with a 60 plus travel group. From the moment we were picked up at Rockhampton, we were impressed by everyone. Simon, Annie and Steve were our hosts, and nothing was a trouble to them. The accommodation was clean modern and we had great views from our room (807). Could not fault them or the site. Great location, good lifts and amenities. Highly recommended.

The staff, particularly Pat, who we communicated with, were top notch - friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and well decorated, bed comfortable, and the view was spectacular. We had the buffet breakfast before heading off, and this offered anything you could want for breakfast. Great experience - would love to stay again!!
