The food is so consistently amazing and the flavours are divine. In fact we planned our last holiday around it and went 3 out of 5 nights.

It was so good! I had a genmaicha (green tea) and a couple of their jalapeno-infused Yuzu Margaritas.

The place is beautiful, and the service is lovely. They were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions, which I really appreciated.

The mushroom skewers are so delicious and have a unique combination of tastes.

The barramundi flesh was moist and perfectly cooked with a salty, crispy skin on top.

I am a margarita lover, and although I wasn't planning on drinking, the Jalapeno-infused Yuzu Margarita caught my attention. It was so good that I had two. ?

Here's the breakdown of what we had:

Drink: Jalapeno Infused Yuzu Margarita
jalapeno infused tequila, yuzu sake, fresh lime, agave.

Starters: miso soup/edamame/kingfish sashimi with green chilli, kaffir lime, coconut.

Mains: eggplant sticks miso caramel glaze, sesame, chives (GF)/mushroom skewers with smoked potato aioli, trouble salsa, chilli garlic confit (VG, GF)/crispy skin barramundi with edamame puree, pickled mushrooms, turmeric pickled ginger (GF)/karate chicken with trouble sauce, kimchi mayo, pickled cucumber (GF).

Can't wait to try the other dishes.

The restaurant itself looks amazing. It's a Japanese inspired restaurant. Was so excited to try. Our booking was for 6pm. We arrived 10 minutes early to a line up and the restaurant was pumping. Whilst in line a couple quickly left the restaurant running down pathway. We thought they did a runner. Finally seated outside which was very cold and people in front of us didn't have a booking but we're seated inside ?. After being seated we waited 20 minutes (after asking someone twice) before our drinks order was taken. We also decided to order our meals at this time due to the slow service. Fifteen minutes later our sides for our main meal arrived. No drinks. We had no choice but to eat it then as it was going cold. We again asked a waitress where our drinks were? Next our sashimi (starter) arrived. It was delicious. Still no drinks. Our drinks finally arrived before our Wagyu. Now this was disappointing. $60 for 200g. Price is comparable but the quality was questionable. Eating Japanese style and you leave the tendon. We had no knife to cut it out so we're left trying to chew through it. Overall, disappointing and the people behind us left saying the service was terrible and canceled their orders. My take is they were too busy seating people who didn't have reservations than serving the already seated patrons. Shame.

We had the most amazing dining experience again. We live on the Sunshine Coast but actually went out of our way on our trip back home from Victoria to once again dine here. It exceeded our last experience. Every single dish was spectacular. The service was amazing and each serving was quick and efficient. We ordered six dishes. Highly recommend Trouble San, an absolute go to.

Loved this spot. An essential visit while in Bruns. Visiting from GC for the wife's birthday and came here both nights. Food was very nice and well presented, nice selection of hot sake to pair. The venue decor is in good taste. Highly recommended.

Really nice setting, the only downside was the venue was quite cold even though it had overhead heaters we could not feel them, it's quite open so there are drafts from every direction. The food was nice and presented really well, though a bit overpriced compared to similar venues I have dined in with similar standard of food. Service was ok. Overall, a pleasant experience but didn't overly wow me.
