We strongly advise against engaging Global Hotels and Residences as property managers based on our deeply disappointing experience with their services. Our interactions with this company revealed a troubling lack of professionalism, poor communication, and a complete disregard for standard property management practices.

Upon purchasing a unit managed by Global Hotels and Residences, we were shocked to discover that they lacked basic knowledge about the unit’s tenancy status. They reached out to us, the new owners, asking whether the property was tenanted and requesting details they should have already been managing. This glaring oversight immediately raised red flags about their competence.

Concerned by their apparent mismanagement, we promptly enlisted a new property manager. Unfortunately, transitioning away from Global Hotels and Residences has been fraught with serious issues due to their unprofessional conduct, including:

Unauthorized Lease Agreement: On the day of settlement, Global Hotels and Residences signed a new lease for the unit without our permission. This action has locked us into an agreement for 12 months at a rental price we had no say in approving.

Failure to Provide Tenant Ledgers: Despite repeated requests, they have failed to supply our new property manager with the necessary tenant ledgers. Their excuse? The ledgers require “maintenance” before they can be shared. Such a delay is both unacceptable and indicative of poor record-keeping practices.

Unresponsive Communication: Global Hotels and Residences have been consistently unresponsive, failing to provide requested information in a timely manner and withholding critical details needed for a smooth transition.

This experience has caused significant frustration and unnecessary stress. The lack of accountability, coupled with their amateurish approach to property management, makes it clear that this company is unfit to manage properties effectively. We urge others to avoid Global Hotels and Residences to spare themselves similar headaches.

False promises. Said airconditioning would be set up within end of month or start of next month (beginning of September), yet to this date, no aircon has been set up. Staff are difficult to deal with, they appear so amicable to begin with, and when stuff is not going their way, immediately show their true colours.

Especially Troydon. From the get go, we signed a lease agreement where they clearly stated bond is $1800, then 2 months down the track says we OWE $1800 in bond. Questioned why we owe $1800 when we’ve already paid that upfront. Then goes to say bond is meant to be 4 weeks of rent not 2, yet they’re the ones who drafted up the contract and specified the bond is $1800.

When we first moved in, the apartment was not even cleaned properly. There is loose wires all over the hallway and even in the apartment itself.

It does not even end there. When the shower drains were blocked, we made sure to let troydon know, says he will get it fixed. Then someone comes by and says they fixed it. Most definitely was not fixed at all. Still blocked. Then another 2 weeks go by after repeated messaging that it’s blocked and FINALLY someone comes to fix it. It took TWO weeks to unclog a shower drain.

Furthermore, they’ve now started not letting any ubereats delivery people even come up to deliver to our apartment as they’ve got a vendetta against us actually shining light to their problems.

Anyways, if anyone is wondering if they want to move into the global hotel and residences, do yourselves a favour and look elsewhere.
