We strongly advise against engaging Global Hotels and Residences as property managers based on our deeply disappointing experience with their services. Our interactions with this company revealed a troubling lack of professionalism, poor communication, and a complete disregard for standard property management practices.
Upon purchasing a unit managed by Global Hotels and Residences, we were shocked to discover that they lacked basic knowledge about the unit’s tenancy status. They reached out to us, the new owners, asking whether the property was tenanted and requesting details they should have already been managing. This glaring oversight immediately raised red flags about their competence.
Concerned by their apparent mismanagement, we promptly enlisted a new property manager. Unfortunately, transitioning away from Global Hotels and Residences has been fraught with serious issues due to their unprofessional conduct, including:
Unauthorized Lease Agreement: On the day of settlement, Global Hotels and Residences signed a new lease for the unit without our permission. This action has locked us into an agreement for 12 months at a rental price we had no say in approving.
Failure to Provide Tenant Ledgers: Despite repeated requests, they have failed to supply our new property manager with the necessary tenant ledgers. Their excuse? The ledgers require “maintenance” before they can be shared. Such a delay is both unacceptable and indicative of poor record-keeping practices.
Unresponsive Communication: Global Hotels and Residences have been consistently unresponsive, failing to provide requested information in a timely manner and withholding critical details needed for a smooth transition.
This experience has caused significant frustration and unnecessary stress. The lack of accountability, coupled with their amateurish approach to property management, makes it clear that this company is unfit to manage properties effectively. We urge others to avoid Global Hotels and Residences to spare themselves similar headaches.
