Most amazing time with big cat green Island cruise & team. The team are outstanding, happy to help & go out of their way to make you feel included. The cruise is a full day we had a family of 6 & a infant, everyone was full from the buffet lunch & everything was beautifully timed. I would recommend bringing something for shade & something to snack on if you don't have a good breakfast before hand.

This was one of the best day tours and was assisted largely by the Big Cat crew. Once we boarded the boat 2 staff came to greet us and ask if we had questions about the Island and activities. We were able to book extra activities and swap some we had booked. There were 2 marine biologists on staff who told us about the wildlife. The semi submersible was excellent and the tour guide nice and knowledgeable. We had a pram on board and staff were always willing to assist with moving it. The island itself was heavenly. Can’t rate this experience high enough!

The crew were awesome. We did go on a day when it was quite windy but if you sit down and enjoy the ride it’s nice. We were given our snorkelling gear when we got on the boat so we had to hang on to them the whole time. Next time we will get our gear when we get to the island. The buffet lunch was a good feed just b4 our snorkelling adventure.

We went on a 1/2 day tour to green island which included a 1/2 hour glass bottom boat ride. The tour was very well organized and the crew made sure everyone knew where they needed to be at specific times. The island is beautiful with walking trails, a netted beach, resort, cafes and shops. We went from a cruise and the wharf to get the rocket boat was only a few minutes walk from our port. Highly recommend.

Big Cat was our carrier to Great Barrier Reef this March. Cairns was rainy, although spots of drizzle only. The vessel was at a berth in Marlin Wharf just opposite the Reef Fleet Terminal, a 10 to 15 min walk from the Esplanade and the Night Market. Previous evening we received an email with detailed instructions on how to reach the vessel. We reserved a full day tour to the Green Island and the vessel was almost full. We took a seat in the upper deck. Tea & coffee were complimentary before departure. The ride to the Green Island took an hour and was a bit rough, although we enjoyed every bit. We opted for the complimentary glass boat ride rather than snorkeling. The glass boat ride was fascinating and we could see the coral reef world, an entirely different ecosystem below the water. This was experience of a lifetime. After the boat ride we waited for some time as it was raining. We opted for lunch on board and had a great lunch with a lovely choice of salads, mains and breads. When rain abated went to the Green Island, a fascinating rain forest we previously didn’t see in Australia. Green Island has nice walking trails, a resort, a crocodile reserve (additional tickets), rest areas and nice sea beaches. While walking to the island from the jetty can see corals just under the water as if one can walk on those. We started our return at 4 pm and returned to Cairns at 5 pm. Special mention about the captain and the crew - very informative, accommodative and helpful.
