We rarely stay at caravan parks, as we prefer to camp off-grid. But wanting to stay in Weipa, this was our only choice. We were more than pleasantly surprised.
All the staff were friendly, including the groundsman, who always had a smile and a wave.
We initially booked for 3 nights, but extended to 6 and after visiting Pennefather Beach for a couple of nights, returned for another 3. Each time we altered our booking, we found the staff most accommodating, and nothing was an issue.
We can't wait to come back.

Very pricey for an air-conditioned cabin, and what you get for that price isn't much. Add to that the air-conditioning can't compete with the sun heating the cabin.
For these prices I expected a far nicer room, and for the building to be insulated against the sun.
Stunning location though, and the area itself is clean and well maintained.

Couldn't really fault this campground.

Great location and super close to woolies. Really great, grassy campsites with lots of space. Could be a bit tricky to get into with a big caravan but we had no troubles with a little camper. Power boxes and drains are a bit awkwardly placed and noticed a lot of campers couldn't actually get their grey water hoses into the drains, so that was a bit disappointing

Amenities block was massive, never had to wait for a toilet or shower, and lots of washing machines at only $4 each which was great.

Pool a bit small for the size of the park, but it is what it is.

How good is this place. I have stayed here 2 years in a row with no issues or problems. The park manager, Brook, was very helpful and always willing to lend a hand. Large camping areas with plenty of showers and toilets. Barramunchies has the best burgers in Weipa, the Gunshot burger is something everyone must try. Totally recommend this place to anyone.

Didn't book in advance but had a great reception. Took care of our needs with a smile. Got a powered site for $60/nite. Nice clean amenities. Close to beach. Shopping area within walking distance perfect for our stay

For a caravan park that is very busy there was no hassle for them to help us out while we were waiting on car repairs ,Kathy and Matt went above and beyond to make our stay less stressful, keeping us together as we were travelling with other family would highly recommend staying as we have travelled from Central coast n.s.w and it was by far the most welcoming park we stayed at,the amenities were the best we have stayed at nice hot water ,clean toilets/showers, laundry, had a full kitchen for guests to use definitely 10/10

Great caravan park, options for beach sites but all sites are close to waters edge and amenities. All staff accomodating and facilities are as they should be. Barramunchies restaurant on site makes awesome food. Really enjoyed our stay!
