This is a great tour to do when you first hit town. It not only covers the fascinating Indigenous history of the area, the tour guide points out all the tourist hotspots along the way so you can orient yourself with where they are if you want to go back. The damper and lillypilly jam morning tea tasted amazing! And Uncle Wayne and Waszanna were so generous answering all our questions and letting us handle the precious hand made wattle wood boomerang and try the eerie wooden noise maker that kept women and children away from men's ceremonies. By the end of the tour, which ranged all over Bundaberg, I felt humbled to have learnt so much about the people who have been here for 65,000 years. It was a truly memorable experience, all undertaken in the comfort of an air-conditioned bus with very little walking required. This is a must-do tour in Bundaberg. Don't miss it!

Loved the tour and the opportunity to see Bundaberg through the eyes of ancestral culture, listening to the stories and significance of places and landmarks that otherwise may look common. Very exciting tour and fantastic tour guide!

We went on the Taribelang Bunda Cultural Tour while in Bundaberg. We had the privilege of being in the company of our exceptional guide, Wazsanna, her Mom, her Auntie and Uncle Darrell. It included a well-researched tour of the town with landmarks, both European and Aboriginal, then sacred grounds and the history and lifestyle of the Taribelang people. We learned about how they built their dwellings when they were nomadic, their diet and natural medicinal plants. Uncle Darrell and Wazsanna also demonstrated a whirling bull roarer used in men’s ceremonies and a beautiful handmade boomerang. We also learned about the tragic history of this tribe and the prejudice they have endured, like so many Aboriginal people worldwide. We were treated to tea of damper with delicious wild berry jam and chutney and were each given a special gift to see us on our way. They have a brand new, air-conditioned van and are working hard to grow their business with a new shop and items for purchase. They are gracious, friendly, so down to earth and easy to converse with. This tour is a must. Don’t miss it! - Karen and Pat.

A fascinating 3 hr tour around Bundaberg showing the cultural significance of the Hummock, Mon Repos, Paddy island massacre, Baldwin Swamp and other tourist interests of Bundaberg. Enjoy homemade lillypilly jam and damper and tomato chutney. Learn the significance behind the names of Bourbong street and Woongarra street, and listen to some dreamtime stories.

I had the privilege to join Auntie Woz and Uncle Wayne on the Taribelang Bunda Cultural Tour "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" in Bundaberg. The tour visits many sites in the Bundaberg region. Along the way you are immersed and educated in the culture of the Taribelang people and enjoy a different perspective of history, current day and our future together.
The Damper and Lilli Pilli Jam was amazing to enjoy at Hummock Lookout, and the sharing of stories by Auntie Woz was captivating and from the heart. Highly recommend this for a perspective and understanding of the yesterday, today and potential tomorrow of the Bundaberg region. An excellent bringing together of cultures through understanding and education.
