I attended a multi-day retreat with Heart & Lava and can honestly say that I've not stopped thinking about it! I don't tend to book things because I don't have the time to research and organise the necessary gear, but every detail of the weekend was taken care of, from the delicious food to the activities, even the bedding. It was so easy and I felt supported throughout every one of the adventures. I've never rock climbed before but I made it to the top of two of three runs, thanks to the support from the crew below. I didn't know anyone going into the weekend but left with a whole bunch of new friends. I can't wait to go again. If you're thinking of booking a retreat for yourself or a group of friends, do it! You absolutely won't regret it!

An experience for the soul. I went into the weekend feeling extremely burnt out from the week leading into it, I left feeling like a massive weight had been lifted.

I chose to spend the weekend with the Heart and Lava crew at Mt Barney as a chance to slow down and try new things. I was beyond happy with my experience, the rock climbing was the highlight as I had never done that before, also really enjoyed the illustration session and pilates class. Bec, Tristan and Sarah is the most friendly people and made everyone in our group feel super comfortable, so many laughs! I would absolutely recommend!

Heart and Lava have managed to curate an experience which allows connection between people, place and self - even for those with limited outdoor experience. I had an incredible weekend meeting likeminded people in a beautiful environment. I also felt like I was part of an adventure, engaging in a new experience; rock-climbing. At all times I felt self, being guided by proffesionals who were both passionate and informative. Thank you Heart and Lava for a 5 star experience!
