I had the pleasure of joining a three-hour walking tour with Matt from Urban Tours, and it was an absolute delight! Despite staying near Central Station, I was amazed at how much I didn’t know about the area, including the fascinating way the trees are planted in ANZAC Square. Matt’s knowledge was incredibly detailed, and his storytelling made history come alive.

What truly set Matt apart was his engaging and entertaining style. He even had some surprises up his sleeve toward the end, which added a fun twist to the experience. Coincidentally, I had crossed paths with him the day before when I asked for directions on the ferry, it was a wonderful surprise to see him as my guide the next day!

Whether you’re a local or a visitor, I highly recommend booking a tour with Matt. His expertise, personable nature, and knack for making every detail interesting made this one of the most enjoyable walking tours I’ve ever been on.

We really enjoyed our walk around Brisbane. Viewing historical sites and learning the stories behind them. Guy our guide, was very pleasant and knowledgeable. It was a delight to go down little lanes that we never knew existed.

Great experience, you learn alot about the city and our tour guide had lamented old photos of the city to give context. Also we got to try lamington provided by our tour guide. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to learn more about the history of brisbane.

Arranged a 3 hour walking tour on our first day in Brisbane to get a lay of the land for the next two days. Guy, who is also the owner of urban tours met us punctually at our hotel. He is personable , easy to talk and very knowledgeable. The time went by quickly and finished with a cold ginger beer along the water front. A definite must do.

What a Guy! 🙂 We were not sure what to expect as it was our first walking tour and also because we had already walked the streets of the city for a couple of days by the time of our walking tour. However, this tour turned out to be the highlight of our entire stay in Brisbane because not only Guy was very knowledgeable and compassionate, but also very kind and attentive to our interests. His timing was superb as he dished out trivia one after another which had us hooked to him from start to finish and he kept us glued to him with what was coming next. He even got us little Lamington cakes to eat and also little souvenir for each of us which makes it a hard one to beat. We did another walking tour in another city after this tour but I think Guy has left the bar pretty high. Thank you Guy for the amazing experience!
