We booked a trip to Porcupine Gorge by phone from Winton through the Centre, from start to finish Bea (hope I spelt it right) was an absolute pleasure to deal with, on arrival in Hughenden we went to the centre to collect our tags and she was again first class explaining points of interest along the way to the Gorge, on returning from the Gorge we did some fossicking for Belemnites, my Wife and I had a great time doing this activity and found some really good specimens, we returned to the information centre to thank both Bea and Claire for there help and left them with some of our haul from the fossicking experience.
Once again thankyou ladies for you kind and professional attitude towards us?

Talked with Bea today and yesterday. She is so helpful and her enthusiasm for Hughenden is awesome. Makes you want to see and do it all - and we did. Nice town - we stayed 4 nights.

We visited yesterday and was greeted by a young man who had excellent customer service. Nothing was too much trouble and it was a very pleasant experience. What a lovely town.

Outstanding customer service. When we had problems they came out to the saleyards to fit a hose and show us how to operate the washdown facility. Exceptional and friendly service.
Their directions are built on intimate local knowledge. Thoroughly recommend.

Chanelle at the Visitor Info Centre was outstanding in her service to us and advice when we visited on 5th July 2022. Friendly, local, down to earth and with a wealth of information. Such a wonderful sense of humour, cheerful and helpful. Gave us great tips including sunset at Mt Walker and information on Porcupine Gorge a highlight for us. She is a wonderful asset to Hughenden and ambassador for the area. Museum was good value too. Please ask the Council to fix the cattle grid approximately 40 kms from Hughenden on the way to the Gorge or at least put up some warning signs asking people to reduce speed to about 40 kph or less as it was brutal!
