Management friendly and helpful. Caravan sites however are very small and felt packed in. Limited trees so excessive exposure to hot sun and no grass but lots of concrete. Lacks a pool and whilst next door to the public pool it was closed. Facilities were clean and tidy. Reasonably quiet at night. Safety whilst there are no issues whilst we were there needs updating - maybe a key card access with chain to avoid previous van issue which occurred a month ago. Easy walk to IGA, butcher and pub down road. Easy drive to all other attractions and services, including a beautiful lake. Park is dog friendly and has a car wash bay. Depending on where you are located, facilities are a bit of a walk to get to, and the camp kitchen needs to be more central.

Although we were happy with initial interaction with caretakers, we found the cleanliness of the amenities lacking. There is a sign on the doors stating they are new, so if users could mop and squeegee floors, it would be helpful. And to let them know if needed. As I don't feel this is a long-term incident as per the older block cleanliness, I chose to use this forum. Aside from that, the tiles and walls look like they have not been cleaned since the block was built. In fact, I don't recall anyone cleaning the block during our three day stay.

We stayed 2 nights there when we were doing the dinosaurs trail to Winton with 2 boys 2 and 5. The 2 nights we were there the park (powered site)were very full. We were in the drive through site which mean it has a caravan behind us and on our side. When the park reached it's capacity, there is not much space in between. Because most of the visitors just stayed for a night ,so the park were very quiet, eg. on the Fri night we were there, most of the visitors already went inside their van at 6pm. We felt a bit stressed when we tried to keep the two active boys quiet.|Luckily on the 2nd night, they had a little fun raising concerts, every one out seem enjoyed themselves and it made the park more "lively".|Other than that, staffs are friendly. You can tell they did put the efforts to maintain the place. The facilities are a bit dated but not too bad . Surprisingly, the water supply in the shower was very good. It has no moment of hot water turning cold when I showered despite 4 shower cubicles were in use at the same time. And the camp kitchen is very good.|To spend $32 a night there, you can't really have any complaints, it exceeded expectations.

We enjoyed our stay here. Flat, drive through sites, clean amenities and easy walk to town shops. Made use of the wash down bay which was most appreciated. Friendly check-in. Council pool next door. but unfortunately. it was closed during our stay.

Great caravan park. Clean large units fully equipped. Walking distance to a nice pub. Friendly check in staff. Quiet. The two bed unit had TV in bedroom as well as lounge. Nice deck to enjoy a cold beer. I thought it was also good value in comparison to other similar units in other van parks.|Didn’t use camp kitchen or amenities but they looked clean and well cared for

Said drive through sites when we called to book. Not true. Was back to back. Looks like originally they were drive through sites. But obviously making most of the busy time.
But there's no need to lie.
Toilets were gross, signs saying we are not the newest park you have stayed in etc etc. They need a good deep clean. Built up grime everywhere, especially the sink taps.

One good thing we were able to finally wash our car in their wash bay.

Arrived Sunday 14th for 4 nights, our site for us was perfect & we had shade so no need to put awning out, close to amenities block & laundry. On the Sunday night the local Lions Club put on a dinner for $10/person, $5 for entree & $5 for dessert, it was great to see 2 local businesses working together. For those of you who can't reverse (there are many) the owner is more than helpful to get you on your site (many marriages saved on the few days were here. Hughenden is by far my favourite town on our journey so far, we will be back, but at present the black top & red dirt are calling. ❤️❤️
