We’re given two of the newly-refurbished poolside rooms - excellent!|While plain looking on the outside, inside was modern, boutique-style with a huge king bed, great lighting choices and very quiet at night. Blackout curtains let you sleep in as long as you wish. Heaps of hot water - lovely. Friendly manager Mel and staff, great new pool. Will definitely stay here again.

I highly recommend Seaview. Staff were friendly, cold water upon arrival, clean rooms and easy parking. There is reasonably priced alcohol and refreshments available from reception which you are welcome to enjoy by the beautiful pool with sea views. Seaview is an easy walk to anywhere you need to go along the main street.

The staff are lovely. Had a late check in, followed by an awesome sleep, (beds are comfy!), Recommend the charcuterie and wine from reception! Great stuff and thank-you ?

We stayed here before and after our fishing trip to the GBR. I was referred to 2 hotels and chose this one because they had King beds. I could not have been happier with my choice!

The hotel is right across the street from the docks as well as a laundromat and coffee shop. The rooms are all updated with beautiful decor and modern touches! Air conditioning worked fabulous and the rooms were very quiet.

Kate was an absolute pleasure - they had lots of snack and beverage options which was much appreciated - especially after 7 days on the reef!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming into Cooktown for a day or several days! You will not be disappointed!!!

What a beautiful place. We had a retro room so we’re expecting something dated but it was fantastic. Absolutely spotless. Mel was super friendly and helpful. The pool is amazing. Lovely balcony to sit on and watch the sunset. Great overnight stay and highly recommend.

The Seaview is a really beautiful property to stay in Cooktown. The rooms are clean and immaculate and amazing water views from the balcony. Even better is that the entire property is non-smoking which is really appreciated. We specifically thank the manager Mel who shows fantastic customer service and goes out of her way to help guests have the best stay possible. If in Cooktown this is the place to stay and we highly recommend it!

I can't fault The Seaview at Cooktown. Yes, it's an older style building, but that just adds character. We had one of the disabled rooms that had been recently refurbished & it was perfect for 3 x adults. I travelled with my friend & my elderly father, who had a walker. There was plenty of room to move around for all of us. Parking was directly behind our unit. The receptionist was amazing & nothing was too much trouble. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Cooktown.
