As someone who previously studied events management and is a planner and organiser at heart, I questioned if we needed a wedding planner. But ultimately, as we wanted someone to coordinate on the day so that we/family/friends could be fully present, we booked Bec for her full package. I am not exaggerating when I say this was the BEST decision we made for our entire wedding. The ways Bec helped us were endless, but to name a few; she is very knowledgable around the vendors in the area so was able to make recommendations specific to our brief and budget, she is super responsive so was always there to answer any questions via email/phone/text, any time I was worrying about something during the planning stages be it big or small she absolutely had the answers to my worries, she is the best person to bring your vision to life and thinks about the tiny little details that I wouldn't have known I needed to think of. But best of all, thanks to her our entire wedding planning process was truly stress-free because we always had someone on our side who knew best. She helped us create the wedding of our dreams (in fact, so much better than we expected it to be) and her presence meant that the whole day ran without a hiccup and we both got to fully enjoy our wedding with no run sheet in our head to try and manage. My advice - even if it doesn't seem in your budget to book a wedding planner, try to make it work because we absolutely saved money by having Bec as she could guide us to make sure our money was spent in the right places. Bec - we could not be more grateful to you! You were the heart and soul of our wedding running so perfectly. We absolutely LOVED working with you and after 18 months of it, I will genuinely miss our chats. Thank you for everything you did and for making our day so stress-free and fun xx.

"We engaged Bec as our wedding planner and from the get go she listened to our requests for our special day and then seamlessly organised all our needs for the day, including special requests. Leading up to the wedding Bec would contact us and provide recommendations to make the decision making easy. On the day itself Bec was behind the scenes and one step in front of us making us feel so relaxed. The trust we gained in her process paid off with a wedding that was simply perfect! WOW!!!

Bec may have the role of a wedding & events co-ordinator however I feel she is more like your guardian angel!
From the first moment my husband Mark & I spoke to Bec on the phone we thought... She knows exactly what she is doing.

Having a destination wedding sure does throw a spanner in the works however having Bec on our team ensured everything ran smooth & was executed to the highest degree possible.

We couldn't have imagined a wedding so perfect, so thank you to Bec for creating the most magical wedding. All of our guests keep commenting on how incredible it was.

Bec is a must-have on your wedding day! I have the pleasure of working alongside Bec quite often and every single wedding we do together is organised like nothing else! She thinks of every little detail so the couple doesn't have to worry about a thing, and she not only expertly plans the entire wedding day (and often the surrounding days) & ensures it all goes smoothly for couples & guests, she also is incredible at managing us vendors and making sure we are always all over any last minute changes and making sure we are all ok & on track to do the best work we can for our couples. Seeing the love & effort she puts in behind the scenes is incredible, always going above and beyond & she does it all with a smile on her face! She truly is a gem to work with.
If you're feeling overwhelmed at the thought of trying to piece together such an important event like your wedding, or not sure about juggling family members to try and remember to do odd jobs on the day, just get Bec on your wedding team to take the pressure off & you absolutely won't regret it!

Bec, we couldn’t have imagined our amazing day without you. My friends and family in the lead up to the day would always ask ‘are you stressed yet?’, I would say ‘no, we’ve got Bec’. No question or detail was ever too small. We cannot thank her enough for making our amazing day run as smoothly as it did. My husband and I are so grateful for Bec's help planning our wedding with 112 people at Little Cove with reception at the Sugar Wharf in Port Douglas. We hired Bec to be our wedding planner very early in our planning process and it was the best decision of the whole wedding. We came to her with a date and a venue idea, and she hit the ground running to help us organise literally everything else. She listened to our vision, kept meticulous notes, suggested vendors that she knows personally and has worked with before, and gave advice if we had other people we wanted to work with. She filled forms and booked our venue with the council, helped organise trials for hair/makeup/food tasting, and independently liaised with other vendors for the practicalities of furniture, lighting, catering and others. She met with us several times in person and was easy to contact by email, text or phone if we needed. Port Douglas is small and she personally knew and was friends with so many of our vendors, and she was able to organise discounts for some of our hire. She gave expert advice about how much alcohol we would need, how big our tables should be to fit the venue, and literally any other practical question we had we could run by her and she would help us to answer it. She created a budget tracker and a runsheet and also kept in touch with our vendors the week before the big day to make sure everyone was on the same page. On the day she was our coordinator and worked the full day, putting out our decorations and making sure everything was there looking beautiful, taking our cake to the venue to the coldroom, and running around making sure everything ran smoothly before, during and after the ceremony and reception. She helped my brother be an amazing MC by prompting him when to speak and what to say so he wasn't nervous. When we ran out of moscato half way through the reception, she went to the bottle-o and bought more. She even found my phone (that had my speech on it!) when the bridesmaids had no idea where it was, mid-speeches! She also looked after our décor, presents and guestbook afterwards and made sure there were no loose ends after everything was done.

Honestly there's probably so much more that she did that I don't even know about because she just fielded the little problems without me even knowing unless I absolutely needed to! Our day was so freakishly smooth and uneventful that I am still in awe that nothing went wrong, despite everyone telling me "something" would, and I absolutely credit Bec's tireless work to this. We had an absolute dream wedding and I am still 3 weeks later so over the moon.

Not only was she practical, Bec was so genuine, supportive, responsive and kind, and having her on board made me feel like everything was under control all the way through. She thought of details I never would have dreamed of. Honestly planning weddings is stressful because of the mental workload, and this is exactly where Bec was incredible at relieving our stress, that otherwise probably would have been shared onto our friends and family. Instead, all the people who were there to share in our special day could do just that - relax and enjoy themselves.

People might say to you that you don't need a planner, that it's expensive and you can do it yourself etc. Don't worry about them. If you aren't sure, absolutely do it! It's seriously such a good deal for so many hours of her expert time and effort. Consider what your time is worth. Consider what your stress and mental health is worth. Weddings don't have to be stressful, and for such an expensive day you want it to run smoothly because little things can ruin it, and there's so much that goes into this one big day that you will remember for the rest of your lives. For me, having a planner was non-negotiable and I would hire Bec 1000 times over. I recommend her to everyone getting married.

I am truly grateful for the beautiful result of our wedding and for your time and energy in helping us celebrate our love. While I would love to give you 5 stars, I feel there were some areas where the experience could have been improved.

There were times when I didn’t feel fully supported in sharing my thoughts or concerns, and your responses weren’t always as receptive as I had hoped. Additionally, I was uncomfortable seeing my mother left to stand on an unstable chair while helping with the decorations. It would have meant a lot to us if there had been more assistance with setting everything up, as my mother ended up doing much more physical work than we had anticipated.

While the end result was great, I believe with a bit more attention to detail in execution, the experience could have been even better. I offer this feedback with the hope that it can help improve your service for future weddings. Wishing you all the best in your work ahead.
