Omg - Amazing day and so excited to share this review ! Right from the pick up when we met Josh, the adventure just kept unfolding! Josh was incredible, super knowledgeable and informative, friends, jovial and enthusiastic! The river hike followed by the float down the river was super cool! Joined by Josephine another tour leader who is a keen naturalist and twitcher ( bird enthusiast ) they both presented exceptional duty of care and so passionate about this region! The equiptment from shoes to wetsuits to insect spray ( not needed on this perfect sun kissed day ) everything g was thought of and taken into consideration! A great lunch & drink café stop was included and then the beauty of the gorge was spectacular! Such a special ‘Smokey’ Welcome to Country introduced us to the deep spiritual culture of the custodians and native culture and rich history. After exploring and hiking through the forest we got the perfect opportunity to swim in the pristine river and further forest bathe! Thank you to the entire team for orchestrating this awesome experience and gifting us all of the digital stills and video footage to cherish! The River Drift Snorkeling experience by Back Country Bliss Adventures offers a unique and serene way to explore the Daintree Rainforest. The guides were exceptional, offering detailed insights into the ecosystem while ensuring safety and comfort throughout the tour. Their passion for the environment was clear, and they made the experience educational and fun at the same time. The snorkeling itself allowed us to see a variety of freshwater fish and other aquatic life in their natural habitat, all while being surrounded by the stunning rainforest.

This experience stands out for its perfect mix of adventure and tranquility, making it ideal for nature lovers looking to do something a little different. Back Country Bliss delivered a memorable day out on the water, and their professionalism and enthusiasm made it even better.

A morning session with the River Drift crew was organized, comfortable, and relaxed under the beautiful river canopy. The provided suits and boots were dry and clean; we could have drifted for hours!

An absolute must if you’re in the area. We did this tour in 2021 and loved it so came again with our adult children. The tour and river has changed so much since then. Loved our guides Vincent and Leah. They had so much knowledge of the area and were clearly passionate about the land and the tour. We had so many laughs and felt so comfortable. Highly recommend and would definitely do it again.

Wonderful morning: our guides Josh and Leo gave us a really insightful and interesting tour of the rainforest as we found our way up to the point we could ride our rafts back downstream. Not a lot of fauna but the flora more than made up for it!

Our guide (Josh from Chertsey!) pointed out the nutmeg trees, the razor-sharp Wait-A-While vines, the wasp-hosting figs, the shy Touch-Me-Nots and the Gimpy Gimpy (or Dead Man’s Toilet Paper!) as we walked through the trees.

And the actual rafting was great fun - peaceful, quiet, magical. We would have loved to do it all over again!
The it was time to drift - the current gently pushed you downstream: all you had to do was avoid the banks. Lying on your back, staring at the canopy above whilst quietly making your way to the meeting point… magical!

We went on Wednesday 12/06/2024 Absolutely loved it. The guides were so positive and friendly to deal with. The knowledge they had of the area and the rainforest and the humour was outstanding. The rapids was fun . Floating down the river was so peaceful and calming. Can not recommend high enough
