Smithy's dinner and show. Excellent food and hospitality. On arrival we were greeted with cheese boards. For mains we had the fish dish and a chickpea casserole which was cooked to perfection in the camp oven and a delicious cheesecake for dessert followed by some scrumptious freshly baked damper with golden syrup. The very talented Drew Blundell sang classic country tunes while playing his guitar. We had a lovely night. Highly recommend.

We just spent the best family evening enjoying country-style hospitality done right. Thank-you Smithy and co for our spectacular Sunset Cruise up the Thompson River, complete with nibbles from our hostess, Joyce, expert commentary on wildlife and the surrounds by our skipper, Mick, and a visit to a significant Aboriginal site to understand scar trees. The sunset that followed was just exquisite. And then, it got even better with a delicious three-course meal under the stars, fairy lights, fire pits, damper, billy tea and the dulcet tones of Corrinne Ballard to entertain us. The complimentary bus pick up and drop home with more commentary from our local knowledgeable bus driver topped of the perfect evening. It was all done with such love, right down to the Smithy team waving us off as we left the venue. If you are ever in Longreach or have international guests come to visit, don't miss out on this wonderful experience. Our family (which includes two teenagers) will remember this night fondly for a long time to come.

Took the sunset Silvertail train tour and enjoyed it enormously. The driver and guide were characters. There was plenty to see and learn and plenty of large wildlife like walleroos, red kangaroos. emus, bustards, pelicans etc. The motor rail cars are nicely restored and they shuffle along the tracks with that old familiar sound.
The drinks were nice and cold and the canapes were lovely.
Sunset at the waterhole was spectacular.

We had a wonderful cruise up the river with Leeann as captain. Extremely safe, friendly & informative. Then had camp oven dinner and entertainment by Drew Blundell. Drew was amazing, such a personality. Food was terrific loved the whole experience. Very highly recommended.

What an amazing experience! We were supposed to do the cruise for sunet but because of mechanical issues we were tranferred to the train ride. The train ride was great, with beautiful sunset views. The meal and entertainment (Drew Blundell) were exceptional.

Smithy's Sunset Cruise, with 3 course meal & entertainment, is must do when in Longreach.
A great experience worth every cent & minute.
Friendly, informative, accommodating & professional staff.
(Boat staff, together with a few passengers, handled an unexpected delay during our river cruise without hesitation, whilst remaining calm & compassionate at all times.)
The camp oven 3 course meal was delicious. Barramundi was perfect.
Entertainment by birthday boy Drew Blundel, complimented the evening perfectly.

Great experience with great people on board. Beautiful scenery and got to experience the serenity of the outback. Dinner was delicious and the entertainment was, actually, entertaining! A thoroughly enjoyable evening. Highly recommend if coming to Longreach

Gorgeous bush setting. The music was great. I was served the fish, which was lovely. Hubby had the lamb stew which apparently was good. I would definitely recommend this experience
