Very very good food here and great service too. Steak cooked perfectly and both the starters and sides, including sauces were all delicious. Perfectly seasoned and just exactly what you would expect from a place like this.

Only negative:

The drinks are dire here guys. They do not stack up to the level of the food remotely. The food and service was so good that I will still give this a 5 star but honestly if you are going to sell cocktails, sort it out. Ordered an old fashioned, and what arrived was a glass of whiskey over ice. Planned to stay for a few drinks but the cocktail was so lazily put together we opted to leave.

That’s my only complaint about here, as I want to reiterate for all reading that the food and service is truly phenomenal. But with a bar and cocktails on the menu, one would expect much better. Can’t speak to the other cocktails but looking around at other tables, the rest didn’t look much better.

Such an amazing experience with fantastic food and service we will definitely remember.
We had an intimate celebratory wedding dinner here with our bridal party and cannot recommend enough. The food is top notch taste and quality and the staff are attentive. We had the Charlotte set menu and honestly every item was unbeatable. Will 100% be back for anniversaries and other special occasions.

We had an amazing evening at 6Head restaurant in Sydney. I was part of a large group but the service was friendly and amenable and no request was too great.

The restaurant has great views of the harbour and is the perfect location for tourists and visitors.

The food was plentiful and delicious. We had a restricted menu but there was something for everyone and great value for money for the quality of the offering.

Would definitely go back.

Had an amazing dining experience! The prawns were absolutely excellent—fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. The steak was the highlight of the meal, cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Service was spot on, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure everything was just right.

The only letdowns were the sauces for the steak (both the mushroom and pepper lacked depth and richness) and the mac and cheese, which didn’t quite hit the mark. The cocktails also weren’t as impressive as the rest of the meal.

Overall, a fantastic experience with top-tier seafood and steak.

6 Head: A Nearly Flawless Sydney Steak Experience

My recent visit to 6 Head at Circular Quay was nothing short of outstanding. The restaurant’s prime location—with panoramic views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge—set the stage for an unforgettable meal.

We started with the sourdough served alongside wagyu butter, which was an absolute highlight. The butter’s rich, savory flavor perfectly elevated the bread, and having a little left over worked a treat for mopping up any remaining steak juices later.

Next came the calamari. Overall, it was delicious—crispy, well-seasoned, and not too oily—though a few pieces were tougher than the rest. Still, a minor issue compared to the rest of the experience.

For our main course, my wife and I both chose the O’Connor rib eye, cooked medium rare. It arrived perfectly tender, juicy, and well-rested, with no excess juices spilling onto the plate. An unexpected sweet rub on the steak added another layer of flavor, pairing exceptionally well with the beef. Even the chips were spot on—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right.

Dessert brought the “Chocolate Cube,” an incredibly decadent and rich treat that’s likely the most intense chocolate dessert I’ve ever had. Sharing it was just right—tackling one alone would be quite the challenge.

A couple of small missteps stood out: our coffee never arrived, and the occasional chewy calamari piece popped up. Neither, however, detracted meaningfully from the overall experience. We’re already planning our next visit to 6 Head, and I’d gladly recommend it to anyone in search of an exceptional steak in Sydney.
